Our Team
Sarah is our Project Director. With extensive experience working with children and young people of all ages since 1994, Sarah has worked in a variety of settings such as preschools, senior schools and charities that support children with special needs and emotional needs and spent 6 years at the local Youth Offending Team before joining Inclusion Ventures. Sarah is a qualified Child and Adolescent Counsellor and Yoga Teacher.
Jordan attended IV sessions from the age of 7. He has been a well loved Child and Adolescent Worker since he was 18. Now a father himself he enjoys preparing food for our Night Café and Breakfast Club
Layne is another home grown Child and Adolescent Worker. She joined us after a 2 year apprenticeship, and Early Years study. She left to broaden her horizons in Cambridge and is now back
Ruby, Child and Adolescent Worker joined us summer 2019 A previous beneficiary she is a passionate advocate for children and young people and the Percy King community. Ruby’s motivation ensures even the most timid of personalities gain the confidence to try new experiences.
We were thrilled that Claire joined the IV team after a care home role where she gained extensive experience in mental health, dementia and learning disabilities. Originally an IV Youth Worker for 6 years she is now our Team Leader and recently developed our Little Sprouts toddler group..
A familiar face Cloe was a sessional worker for IV years ago before moving on to work in two local senior schools in admin and pastoral support roles. She's now back as our monitoring and data co-ordinator.
Jade attained a 1st degree in Law as well as a teaching degree. She has a passion for travel and has taught young people abroad. Jade helps in youth sessions whenever we need an extra pair of hands and is a creative artist and musician
Con is our Bike Kitchen Volunteer, he runs both Clacton and Jaywick kitchens every week without fail whatever the weather. A keen cyclist he is passionate about enabling children to be independant and learn the skills to maintain their own bikes. He also leads the Trishaw Project.
Ellie is a committed trustee and our treasurer, she joined us in November 2017 soon after completing a 1 year secondment as A Business Connector in Clacton.
Lisa is our therapeutic Trustee, an accredited Counsellor and qualified Play Therapist. Since qualifying in 1999, she has been working with adults, adolescents, children, families and couples in various settings. She specialises in working with people affected by mental ll-health, childhood sexual abuse, domestic abuse and trauma.
James is our dedicated Bike Kitchen volunteer. His love of cycling and then fixing began at 3 years old. As an adult he ran his own garage, and enjoyed racing cars. He currently teaches Bikeability in schools.
Demi is our Financial co-ordinator/Administrator. One of our home grown staff, she was a familiar face for our families, She is an avid bookworm and natural organiser. Her cheerful personality is the first to greet you when you walk in in the office & a staple of the office.
Sandra is a qualified youth worker and Baptist Minister and has spent over 25 years gently exploring spirituality and faith within the community. She has led a broad spectrum of community youthwork mainly in the North West of England, including detached work, youth clubs, education and residentials both in the UK and abroad. She is passionate about elevating the next generation of community leaders through the potential of children and young people.
Carly was originally a PA in London before becoming a full time Mum. When Carly returned to work she followed her passion to work with children at a primary school, she went on to work with children with SEN, specialising in Autism. She works intensively with the children with the most complex needs to reach their full potential.
Rosie another valued trustee. Currently busy running Essex Pedal Power she has a wealth of experience in culture and arts. We initially met through her work for Colchester Art Centre and then as Manager of Jaywick Martello Tower, where she developed cultural events at the heritage building. Rosie brings an energy and positivity to our local community.
Jess has worked in the charity sector for several years and we were lucky to enlist her as a trustee when she left her role as Funding Officer for Big Lottery. She continues support the voluntary sector in her role at community 360.
Kirsty the Therapist has been working with Children, Young People and Families for the last 20 Years in a variety of settings. Kirsty qualified as a Therapist 7 years ago and has spent most of those years working with Children and Young people. Kirsty works creatively with the children and young people to allow them to express themselves freely without the use of words.
Bass our Maintenance Mentor, is our newest member of staff. He has extensive experience in care work. Previously as a Maintenance man at an old people care home, and more recently as a support worker in children homes.
